01/29/2012 My Yelp review:
I ordered food for delivery. Paid $1 extra for white meat for the BBQ chicken dish I ordered. Food took about an hour to arrive. When it did, the BBQ sauce had mostly spilled in the bag. The delivery guy was nice enough to offer to take it back, but I said it would be okay. I realized, however, when I opened everything that that was the only BBQ sauce they'd given me (a small container), and that the chicken was so bad that it would have needed to be doused in the sauce to taste good. Collard greens and mac and cheese sides were the worst I've ever ordered from anywhere. The food was all completely cold as well.
I called the restaurant. The main reason I am giving them 2 stars instead of 1 is because they at least offered to re-do the order and throw in a dessert (I told them I would rather have a refund, and they said that would be too hard to do.) I was told another BBQ chicken dish could be made that would be ready faster.
In the meantime, I wrote to the website I had just used for the first time to order from, http://www.eat24hours.com, and was contacted by them immediately. I was offered either a refund/attempt at cancellation or a $20 credit to the account (about the amount of the order). I said that since the food was already being remade, I'd take the $20 credit. About 40 minutes later I still didn't have the "faster" food. I wrote to the website again; soon after the food arrived. Chicken was still lukewarm, the spinach side was better than the collard greens but the mac and cheese was pretty blah. Got a response call from the website again, told them the food was still sub-par, and this time I got a refund from them in addition to the $20 credit to the account.
The free dessert I got from the restaurant--the red velvet cake--was the best part of the new order. Nothing to complain about there. I'm glad they at least attempted to have some customer service, but I would not recommend it at all, at least for delivery and at least for the items I ordered. The website, on the other hand, exceeded my expectations. Prompt 24 hour customer service, and now I can try them out again with a different restaurant.Shayna, ordered 3 times
11/09/2011 The delivery was late, and when it was delivered, it was the wrong order. When we received the correct order, it was incomplete...we paid more for less ... the cole slaw was missing from the order among other items.Eric, ordered 32 times
11/03/2011 They often forget to put things in the bag, like soda's and deserts. Love the food though.Brent, ordered 10 times
08/16/2011 I never had a worse delivery experience than this!! This resturant was AWFUL. They charged me for two bottles of wine, that I was told and hour and a half later when they finally showed up that they were out of. The wine needs to be taken off my bill still since they continue to CHARGE ME 24 dollars for the wine. Then they also forgot all napkins, forks, straws and salt and pepper. The delivery man seemed drunk, did not have a phone, asked to borrow my phone, and had no pen to have me sign with and didnt have a receipt for me.
I called the resturant and they said only this website could could cancel the order.
THEN ON TOP of that- I opened my Caesar salad and there was NO DRESSING. Just dry lettuce leaves with some croutons and 3 tiny BURNT TO A CRISP shrimp (not cajun, just BURNT to the point of not being able to eat). When I called back again, asking for forks, straws, and Caesar dressing, they claimed they dont put caesar dressing on the salad and offered blue cheese!!!! What is that?? Who would order a ceasar salad without caeser dressing. That is just lettuce and croutons. So now its two and half hours after i ordered and i still have no dressing. I think their drunk delivery man forgot to show up.
WORST, RUDEST PLACE EVER. The man on the phone never even apologized once and they also claimed they dont have take out salt and pepper packets even though they have about three type of french fries on the menu. AWFUL

07/17/2011 Five Spot has great simple soul food at at good price. The fried chicken and sides we had were great and the order arrived in 15 minutes after ordering instead of the 45-60 minute estimate at the time of order placement. Great!Christopher, ordered 2 times
06/30/2011 First, order took about 47 minutes, yikes. I ordered a burger and their 7 cheese mac n cheese. Sorry to say the mac-n-cheese had probably been sitting out for hours and the burger had limp lettuce and I got the ends of a tomato instead of a nice slice of tomato. Probably won't be reordering. Cold cornbread. Should have been the first sign for me to get up and leave, but alas I stayed and had a watered down sweet tea.
